1st
day :: Arrival to Opatija
::
Meeting is at the airport. Transfer to the hotel
in Opatija. Accommodation is in the hotel
'Villa Vranješ'. Afterward we will take a walk
through floral Opatija, enjoying in sights of ancient villas.
Before dinner our guide will inform us on the programme,
and the rest of the evening will be used for agreements
and mutual introduction. Dinner will be served in 'Villa
Vranjes' in Opatija. |

2nd
day :: Ucka
Nature Park - 1396 m ::
The highest peak of the Istrian Peninsula with
enchanting view over Istra and Kvarner Bay, numerous islands
and mountains of Gorski Kotar. Transfer will take us through
many picturesque villages on Ucka to the climber's lodging
Poklon (922 m). We will hike farther along the colourful
path to the mountain ridge which we will follow and come
to the mountain peak, which offers breath-taking view. Coming
down from Ucka will be from the southern side of the mountain
through small, fabulous villages Liganj and Lovranska Draga
to the beautiful town Lovran,
where our transfer back to Opatija will be waiting for us.

3rd
day :: Risnjak
National Park ::
Transfer to Rijeka's hinterland into wooded Gorski
Kotar. Risnjak is a mountain 1528m high. We will hike on
a macadam road, from which we will turn onto a wooden path
and continue among beech- and fir-trees to the climber's
lodgings. After that we will go on to the top. From the
highest mountain top we will enjoy in spectacular view of
surrounding mountains of Gorski Kotar and Slovenia, deep
canyons, sparkling, crystalline rivers and the Kvarner islands.
We will come down from this perfect park for mountaineers
and naturalists alike, passing Croatia's biggest diversity
of flora and fauna, and finally reach village Crni Lug,
in which the transfer to Opatija will be waiting for us.

4th
day :: Plitvice
National Park ::
The most frequently visited and the most beautiful
Croatian National Park is also classified by UNESCO
as a World Heritage Site. A string of 16 crystalline lakes
interconnected by numerous waterfalls and rapids never fail
to impress. After breakfast we will pick up our luggage
into the vehicle and head for the Plitvice
National Park, in which we will use their internal transfers:
firstly, the train which will take us to the Gornja Jezera.
We will hike from there around vast cascades enjoying the
company of wading birds and schools of fish. We will embark
on an electrical boat on the largest lake– Kozjak,
which will take us to the Donja Jezera, where we will discover
the surrounding area. We will enter below the Plitvice
highest waterfall (83 m) and come out of the canyon through
Supljara
– hole in a rock. After viewing of Plitvice we will
return to Starigrad
Paklenica, a picturesque place at the entrance into
the Paklenica
National Park.

5th
day :: Paklenica
National Park ::
Our vehicle will drive us to the deep canyon of
Velika Paklenica (400 m). Afterward we will hike through
the impressive canyon listening to murmur of Paklenica.
We will follow the path to the climber's lodging. After
a short break, we will come down from the eastern side of
the canyon admiring its depths and enjoying the scenery.
We will hike through Veliko Mocilo and the abandoned village
Jurlina, in which our vehicles will be waiting for us. Along
the whole path we can enjoy in looking at numerous climbers
on the surrounding rocks because Paklenica is the most popular
destination for sports climbers in this part of Europe.
If we are lucky enough, maybe we will see several eagle
species which inhabit this area.

6th
day :: Krka
National Park ::
On this day we will pack our things again and set
off for the Krka
National Park. There starts the tour around 17 waterfalls
and cascades of crystal-clear water. We will visit the oldest
hydro-electrical power plant on Balkan, old mills which
still work grinding corn, primitive „washing machines“
under the waterfall, female weavers who present their skills
in front of visitors’ eyes, old blacksmith's workshop
with tool collection used in this region... After lunch
we will continue driving to Split,
where a local guide will introduce us to the secrets of
the Diocletian's Palace and the Cellars. After the sightseeing
tour we drive farther to Makarska.

7th
day :: Biokovo
Nature Park ::
On this day a serpentine mountain road will take
us to the highest peak of Biokovo (1762) m with stops along
the road to throw a glance over the coastline and the surrounding
islands. We will enjoy a unique view from the mountain
top over Zabiokovlje from Sinj to Vrgorac as well as over
mountains of central Bosnia and Herzegovina. We will hike
along the middle Biokovo massif through numerous dells
to peak Vosac (1422 m), which offers a magnificent view
over the whole Makarska Riviera and central-Dalmatian islands.
We will continue our descent to the village Makar, enjoying
all the time the view of villages under Biokovo and surrounding
islands.

8th
day :: Sea kayak ::
A 20-minute ride by minibus will take us to a picturesque
Dalmatian village Pisak, in which our kayaks and a guide
with gear will be waiting for us. After a short safety talk
about kayaks and paddling technique, behaviour at sea, we
will paddle along the steep coastline, at times under high
vertical rocks among which beautiful and clean beaches are
hidden, to Vruje, where we will enjoy playing on the underground
river spring. En route we will try to climb some rocks directly
from the sea level, have a swim or... After picnic on the
beach we will continue paddling to Brela
where our vehicles will be waiting for us.

9th
day :: Kayak on Cetina River ::
We will drive to the deep canyon which the Cetina
River cut into rocks of the slopes of Mountain Mosor, where
our kayaks and guides will be waiting for us. We will paddle
downstream the river part which in the canyon's depth formed
numerous rapids and small waterfalls over which our „dancing“
kayaks will carry us. Whole time we will be enjoying in
their murmur and shrieking of wading birds in the surrounding
bushes. Lunch will be waiting for us on the meadow at the
take-out point, after which we will return to Makarska.
The rest of the day is free for Your own agenda.

10th day :: Cavtat
::
After lunch we will move to Cavtat.
En route we will stop in Ston
to look around the famous Ston Walls and nearby salt pans.
After arrival in Cavtat
we will put up in a hotel and after a short break drive
to the village of Velji Do, in which we will enjoy traditional
local meals (home-made cheese in olive oil, etc.) in a local
„konoba". After lunch we will walk along the
Ronald
Brown’s Educational Path (Ronald
H. Brown was a U.S. Commerce Secretary during Clinton's
Administration, who died together with a delegation of
32 others in a plane crash when his plane slammed into
the nearby hillside.), which will offer us pleasure of
viewing over the whole Zupa Dubrovacka and Dubrovnik
all the way to the hotels.

11th
day :: Dubrovnik
::
We will take a boat from Cavtat
alongside the picturesque coastline of Zupa Dubrovacka
to Dubrovnik. A local guide will wait for us at the entrance
into the Old City who will introduce us to the beauties
of the City of monuments. After lunch we will enjoy our
stroll on the City Walls, viewing over terracotta roofs
of Dubrovnik and intimacy of small secretive terraces among
them. Return to Cavtat in the afternoon hours.

day :: Return home ::
If You came by an airplane we will organize the
transfer to the airport
